The Oklahoma Thunder has eliminated the San Antonio Spurs in the Western Conference Finals with a final result of 113-99. The Thunder won the series 4-2 and now is heading to the Western Conference Finals against the Golden State Warriors. With the victory OKC put away the wish of Tim Duncan to retire with a title.

Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook where amazing in this series with a lot of points in hand, and rebounds and assists. All NBA was waiting for a Warriors vs. Spurs series but OKC put that away and now the are the ones that have the hard task that is beat the Warriors.

This was a surprising result because San Antonio established in the league as the second best team all season.

This is not the first time that San Antonio disappoint the NBA fans, in 2011 they were 1st place and where eliminated in first round by no. 8 Grizzlies. In 2012 they were 2-0 against the Thunder and lose the series and in 2013 they collapse to win the NBA Finals against the Heat.

Whether San Antonio’s 2016-17 roster includes Tim Duncan or Manu Ginobili is an open question. Both players can exercise options to return, but each looks well past his prime.
